Guthi Kakarakaya kura



Ingredients :
Bitter Gourd -- small 5 nos
Roasted Chickpeas(Putnalu) -- 2 cups
Cumin seeds -- 3 tsp
Dry red chillis -- 6 nos
Tamarind -- pinch
Turmeric -- pinch
Salt -- to the taste
Oil -- 5 tsp

Method :

1. Shallow fry the roasted chickpeas,cumin seeds,dry red chillis till light brown
2. Grind them with salt ,turmeric ,tamarind and keep aside
3. Peel off the skin of Bitter gourd,make into 4 slits as we do for brinjal
4. Stuff the above grounded powder and can tie with thread if u can
5. Keep aside the left over powder
6. Heat oil and drop all the stuffed bitter gourd and cook in low flame for about 20 min
7. Try to break the Bitter gourd with spoon if u can..its done.
8. Add the remaining powder and left over oil and cook for 5 more min and remove from flame.

Can have with hot rice.

For those who wants to eat bitter gourd but cant bear the bitterness of it...this is the perfect recipe it looses all its bitterness with this preparation..try it and le'mme know.
